The GRIEF Ladies Podcast Offers a Clear, Grounded Guide for Life After Loss
Hosted by grief specialists Kelly Daugherty, LCSW, FT, and Karyn Arnold, the podcast focuses on what actually helps after someone dies.
Grief is something nearly everyone will experience, yet most people are left unsure how to cope, support others, or even talk about it. The GRIEF Ladies Podcast was created to change that.
Hosted by grief specialists Kelly Daugherty and Karyn Arnold, grief professionals with a combined 50 years of experience supporting people through loss, the podcast offers honest conversations, practical education, and tangible tools for navigating life after the death of a loved one. Episodes also speak directly to therapists, educators, and helping professionals who want to be more grief-informed in their work.
The podcast is grounded in the GRIEF Framework, a practical, non-linear model developed by the hosts to help grieving individuals focus on what supports them right now. The framework guides listeners through five core areas: Grounding, Rebuilding, Interacting, Evolving, and Finding, offering a clear map for coping after loss without timelines, stages, or pressure to “move on.”
Unlike traditional grief content that focuses on expectations or milestones, The GRIEF Ladies Podcast centers on what people are actually dealing with: exhaustion, anxiety, anger, guilt, identity shifts, relationship changes, and the question so many people quietly ask: “What comes next?”
At its core, The GRIEF Ladies exists to validate, educate, and give people tools they can actually use.
“Each episode motivates people to take action,” says co-host Kelly Daugherty. “And reminds them that it’s okay to want to feel better.”
The GRIEF Ladies: A Guide to What Comes Next validates what listeners are experiencing, explains what’s really happening in grief, and offers something doable—one practical tool people can try starting today.
“Grief may take away your sense of control,” adds co-host Karyn Arnold. “But people still have choices. They still have power. And when someone is exhausted or unmotivated, we help them focus the limited energy they do have on what actually matters.”
Each episode is grounded in real clinical work and lived experience, drawing from decades of supporting grieving individuals, families, and communities. Topics include coping with anniversaries, supporting grieving children, navigating complicated relationships, staying connected to your loved one, and rebuilding life after loss without platitudes, pressure, or fixing.
The GRIEF Ladies: A Guide to What Comes Next—real wisdom from real experience.
