Center for Informed Grief, LLC
Transforming the Way we Bring Support
To Grieving Children in the Classroom and Beyond
Do you work with grieving children?
Do you worry that you don't know what to say to them?
Do you worry that the activities or lessons you teach may trigger their grief? And not know how to handle the reactions they may have?
Do you feel you lack the resources to confidently support grieving children?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Center for Informed Grief is for you! Unfortunately, teachers and therapists are not given the tools they need to know how best to support grieving children.
Center for Informed Grief, LLC offers various educational courses, consultation, programs, resources, products and more to help you competently and confidently work with grieving children in your classroom or in your therapy office.
1 in 13 children will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the time they turn 18 years old. This number does not include all the other losses that a child may experience, including the death of a grandparent, peer, pet, community member, extended family member or non-death losses. Grief impacts children in many ways, including academically, behaviorally, socially, physically and emotionally.
Center for Informed Grief provides opportunities for school personnel (teachers, counselors, social workers, and administrators) and mental health therapists to learn new and effective ways to help support grieving children.
